The 4th Canadian Symposium on Hepatitis C Virus took place in Banff in February 2015 under the theme “Strategies to Manage HCV Infection in Canada: Moving towards a National Action Plan”. With the arrival of highly effective IFN-free combination therapies for HCV infection, the Symposium reflected on the need for Canada to develop a rational plan outlining targets and key strategies to improve HCV prevention, management, and treatment, thereby reducing HCV-related disease burden.
