Pan-Canadian Hepatitis C Elimination Meeting Report: Sharing Progress, Igniting Efforts

In partnership with CATIE and the Public Health Agency of Canada, we are excited to share a new report highlighting key themes and recommendations that emerged from a bilingual meeting on hepatitis C elimination in Canada, hosted with the support of Indigenous Services Canada and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. The meeting brought together partners and experts from across sectors and regions, including community organizations, clinicians, researchers and federal agencies.

The report emphasizes that eliminating hepatitis C as a public health threat in Canada by 2030 is achievable. However, it requires dedicated and coordinated efforts across all levels of government, including Indigenous leadership, the health and social sectors, as well as partners involved in programming and policy. It identifies opportunities at the health system and policy levels, as well as programming and implementation levels, to ensure a coordinated response and meaningful progress toward eliminating hepatitis C.

We invite you to read this report and learn how evidence-based practices, collaborative strategies and coordinated action can accelerate Canada’s progress toward hepatitis C elimination.
